The hectic pace of life can leave you feeling drained, depleted and overwhelmed. When you take control of your energy management and time to recharch, your life can be a time of new beginnings, renewal, blossoms and new growth. Recharging time can allow ideas, projects, thoughts and desires that you've been incubating for months, to have a chance to shine and grow. Here are a few steps to take to renew your energy.

1. Get some sun

Make it a priority to get 15+ minutes of Sun each day. The sun has the amazing ability to reset your hormones and sleep pattern. With more direct sunlight, you'll be able to fall asleep faster and sleep deeper. To enhance your sleep, also start bringing lights down in the house and shut down electronics before 10 pm-ish.

2. Drink plenty of water

Be sure to drink the highest quality water that you can. Aim to drink half your body weight in ounces of water. Adequate hydration is foundation of a health and wellness. Your mind and body will be more clear with proper hydration.

3. Eat your greens

Remember to eat plenty of dark leafy greens. Dark leafy greens are the foundation of a healthy nutrition plan. They are packed with trace minerals, essential vitamins and proteins to help you power through the day. The alkaline properties help balance the blood. The fiber helps the digestion function at optimal levels.

4. Prayer

Remember that there is a higher power that you can go to for inspiration and guidance. It's easy to get caught in a world where the ego knows all and can do all. It can be incredibly frustrating to bump up against perceived problems that you cannot solve on your own. Be grateful and pray for others and yourself and remember that you can ask for help and be vulnerable with your Creator.

5. Movement

Get your blood flowing by moving. One of the easiest things to do is to find a playlist of songs you like on Youtube for about 10-15 minutes longs and dance. This is a great activity to do with children. Or, plan to go to a fun class at the gym or dance/yoga studio.

6. Fellowship

Reach out and convene with friends and family. The daily grind of life can keep us isolated in silos with just our immediate family and self. However, it's very important and beneficial to reach out and link up with close friends and family.

7. Adventure

Finally, remember adventure in life. Try something new. This could be traveling to a new place, trying to learn a new language, going to speed dating, going to a new conference, trying to learn a new skill, growing a new garden, etc. Anything that will cause you to activate your learning curve is in order. Something that will make you a little uncomfortable or uneasy in pushing you towards growth. The saying is, anything that is not growing is dead. So, stray away from the familiar and embrace a new experience that will expand your mind.

What are you doing to recharge your energy?
