Freya Morani, Founder
Sister Freya Mórani is the Founder and CEO of RootMama. She is a certified doula, trained breastfeeding educator, childbirth educator, herbalist and wellness coach. Sis. Freya provides intuitive and professional support to women, infants and families during preconception, pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
Freya is unique in her approach to supporting women achieve their wellness goals and live their best life. She believes that the woman is the central element of the family unit, and when she is well and thriving, the entire family is well and thriving.
Nkoyo Ojuok, Doula
Nicole ‘Nkoyo Ojuok’ Richmond is a certified birth and postpartum doula and trained Breastfeeding Educator. She received her certification from the Gestational & Reproductive Resource Alliance Center on Education and Empowerment (G.R.R.A.C.E.E.).
She is a mother of 8 children ranging from ages 2 to 25 years old. Nkoyo is the co-founder of the Uhuru Academy, an African-centered homeschool co-op. She also leads the women’s ministry at the Temple of Nu Afrikan Unity that she founded with her husband, Amin Ojuok. Nkoyo believes in helping women with the natural way of labor and birth.
