I’m at a place in my life when I have more on my plate than I have ever had before. Because of these increased responsibilities, I find myself saying to myself “I don’t have time” to prepare healthy meals and fresh juice.
It’s ironic that I find myself in this predicament because I used live foods, herbs and fresh juice to heal myself from chronic illness. How can I abandon what got me here today?
It’s not like I eat horribly, but, I’ve noticed that as the demand on my mental and physical energy increases, I have an increased need for high-nutrition and live foods.
I am so honored to work with all the mamas in RootMama village. As I give you all advice and encouragement, I am self-reflective. I take my own advice. I model my life on the RootMama principle for holistic wellness of mind, body and Spirit. As I remind you to drink water, I take a sip. As I remind you to do loving exercise, I wake up early to do yoga. As I remind you to take in the Sun, I find time to take a walk outside (no matter how busy life may seem).
As I contemplate on my commitment to the Village, my family and myself, I don’t have the luxury to skip preparing my live foods and fresh juices. In fact, I’m actively moving it up the priority list. Not that I was ever invincible, but, I was rarely sick when I was on top of my food and juice game. I know the feeling to have the energy to run a marathon after eating a fresh meal. I know what it feels like to be stagnation free, focused and in balance. I miss that feeling.
Life brings changes and you have to make adjustments to get back to balance. I am challenged now to balance my new responsibilities with superb nutrition.
Stay tuned. I will be sharing some of my go-to recipes for optimal wellness. It’s premium fuel to keep your mama engine on the road.
In the meantime, what are your favorite meals that boost your energy, give you mental clarity and keep you well?
